As parents start to choose items for their daughter’s nursery, safety is always the top priority. Baby bedding needs to adhere to specific standards so that your new baby remains safe and healthy. When selecting bedding for children, especially those under the age of one, it is smart to consider a few important characteristics.

It is always a good idea to use hypoallergenic material. The choice of fabric, light cotton or snuggly flannel will depend on the climate of the parents’ home. Be sure not to choose thick quilts. Soft bedding can be dangerous to babies because it might cause suffocation. A better choice is a thin crib blanket. All bedding should fit standard cribs and should not be mixed with linens that do not advertise this feature.
